The Language School

Do you enjoy languages? Getting to know different cultures? Different ways of thinking? Or do you simply need another language for your job? Whatever the reason, at Kingsbrook you can learn many languages that will enable you to communicate all over the world or climb the career ladder.

Languages you can study at Kingsbrook are Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, German, Dutch, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Swedish.

We have courses divided into three terms, intensive courses during the summer and one-on-one lessons for those who need a flexible timetable or have specific needs for either personal or professional reasons.

Our methodology is dynamic, communicative and participative and this is our way of teaching languages. Not just the rules of grammar, but a language to use and communicate with.

Our teachers are native, well-qualified, with experience, and do not use a language other than that which you are learning which is the only way to become accustomed to how the language sounds.

We work with different material from publishers like Langenscheidt, Hueber, Difusion, Herder, Richmond, Pons, Cle International, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University, Guerra Edizioni, Loescher Editore, Primo Livello……

We take advantage of ICT Technologies for teaching, so our teachers can use Smart Phones, Tablets, Netbooks, TV´s, Projectors or Interactive Monitors in the Classroom.

Most of the languages have six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the EU framework for languages. Non European languages like Arabic, Chinese and Japanese have their own five levels according to Official Examinations.

In case you want to apply for the respective official exams you can do so at the school.

At the end of the course a Language Certificate is issued with dates of the course, hours taught and level reached.

The school enjoys an international atmosphere as we also teach Spanish as a second language and welcome students coming from more than 100 nationalities – so cultural exchange is easy between our students. Common activities are organised for free Language Exchange.
